This is my first project. I decided to paint to represent abstract art and my main idea. I decided to tape off 2 large diamonds and then 2 smaller diamonds in between them. My illusion was that they were 2 diamonds because they represent 2 people's lives. They collide in a car accident and that's why there touching slightly. The red paint that I used was to represent danger. The purple paint represents calmness. They finally collide and work it all out. The orange is the mix between red and purple meaning the time in between them freaking out and being relaxed. I like this project and think its not something i'd normally make.
Project 2- Change in time
Art Camera/ iPhone 2018 Art Foundations
This is my second project. I chose to do photography because it expressed old fashion. Photography has been here for a long time. I decided to take pictures of my little sister in my backyard by our old looking shed. I dressed her into a black and white dress, red lipstick, and a red bandana. I had so much fun doing this. I had her come up with her own poses of some pictures and others I told her to do. She showed so much attitude in them and really showed the old fashioned times. I think this definitely shows my creative side and shows how I can photograph a moving object and show how it still looks good.
Project 3- Human Diversity
Relief print making 2018 Art Foundations
This is my third project. I decided to make my topic Human Diversity. I decided to do printmaking. I decided to use blue because it is calm and it is typically everyone's favorite color. I started out by choosing which mat to use to create this piece. I chose the easy mat and then I transferred my paper drawing onto the mat with gloss and water. I then started carving the parts out of the mat. I then cut the final paper to the right size and made a point and layout so I could make it even. I put the ink onto the mat and rolled it out and then applied it to my carving block. I then placed my paper on the block and pressed it in until I felt like it was fully coated. I then let it dry and did it 2 more times. I then initialized my name and the title of my artwork onto the piece.
Project 4- don't forget about me
Sketch paper 2018 Art Foundations
This is my fourth and final project. Our assignment was to make something that shows activism about a sad or dramatic topic. I chose to represent homelessness. I chose this because a lot of people are homeless and it's very sad. I think people should show activism by acknowledging them, you don't have to give them anything just simply say hello and ask them how their day is going. I think in today's world we take time for granted, you could easily make someones day by saying hello. I decided to have 2 people blend into my background to represent those who forget about the homeless. I chose Walmart as my background because growing up when I would go to Walmart there would always be at least 1 homeless person sitting there. I chose Walmart to be the focus point because I wanted the people to blend in and to see how many people notice them first. That's how life is you recognize the main and simple things and hardly realize the complicated and the deep meaning of things. I really like this piece and think it shows my meaning.
